History

Established in 2019, the Transdisciplinary Program in the College of Education (TPICOE) aims to provide students with opportunities to explore their self-directed interests, reduce the mismatch between their fields of study and personal passions, and break down the rigid boundaries between individual disciplines.

By integrating curricula across faculties and departments, TPICOE fosters the cross-border fusion of knowledge and technological applications, cultivating talents with broad, interdisciplinary literacy. The program offers a platform where students engage in competence-driven interdisciplinary courses and receive exploratory counseling, helping them to better understand not only multiple disciplines but also themselves.

Since the inception of the undergraduate program, it has provided students with ample opportunities for interdisciplinary exploration. After exploring diverse fields, students have successfully returned to their areas of expertise to continue their advanced studies.

However, the program recognizes the importance of "first exploring, then integrating." Following diverse interdisciplinary exploration, the program aims to offer students comprehensive training that integrates cross-disciplinary thinking, practice, and innovation. Furthermore, as the importance of English proficiency TPICOE turns to be a whole English taught program from 2024.
